A Milwaukee-based practicing attorney of three decades and essayist whose work ranges across aesthetics, culture, philosophy, technology, and history. He writes about the persistence of human nature with a polymath's attention to interior life, ritual, and meaning in an increasingly technological world. He holds an M.A. from Georgetown in International Security Studies, where he was the Bradley Fellow, and is a contributing editor of the New English Review.
